Battlestar Galactica (BSG) has once again returned to the SciFi channel for the later ten episodes of Season Two with a renewed vengence. These new performances and scripts are once again "on target" - much in the realm of Season One's impressive run. Indeed, to date they have been frak'in terrific!

The new Battlestar Galactica (BSG) turned in less than a stellar performance for first half of Season Two. Driven by an excessive focus on powerful female character portrayals, BSG now seems more concerned with showcasing there cool "tough chicks" over continuing with solid plot line development. The end result - far less impressive than the Season One and imparting to the viewer a feeling that the writers are even more lost than Adama and his gang.

Space based science fiction seems to have finally come of age with this new hard hitting TV series on the SciFi channel. This has been a very impressive show so far with excellent character development, backed up by outstanding acting performances.

Unlike so many previous serial scifi offerings, Battlestar Galactica, does not tie everything up nicely in the 42 actual minutes of allocated show time. Episodes are not cooked up with a formula plot recipe. Indeed, the show is so far beyond the (now cancelled) Star Trek Enterprise; or even SciFi Channel's other offers: Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis - that it makes them look rather childish by comparison. Pretty much - just the best damn "in-space" scifi series produced to date, hands down!

If your not watching it... you should be.
