Hints & Help
Way back in the early 1990s, two computer magazines stood as titans over the new PC gaming software arena: one was Computer Gaming World (CDW), the other - a new comer called: Computer Games Strategy Plus.
Often, new software was advertised on say, page 10; then a few turns on... reviewed via a "thumbs up or down" slant. A negative survey not only told users, "stay away", it slammed future sales and could assist in killing a release. In August 1992, CDW took at stab at VRS with this rather unfavorable (review).
